Race in the Race
Against a black backdrop, in a tossed-salad series of quick-cut sound bites, mixed-race Angelinos eloquently discuss their own heritage, as well as the role that race plays in their own lives, in contemporary America in general, and in the Presidential election specifically. A half-dozen participants, who individually and collectively represent a hodgepodge of ethnicities and cultures, compellingly address the issues that face them in daily life, as well as the incremental social progress that has been made in recent years in acknowledging and accepting the reality that, in America, race is not just a black-and-white issue.
