Clyde Butcher Photographs on Lake Kissimmee
For over two decades Clyde Butcher has been photographing Florida’s environmental beauty with his large format camera. The digital photography revolution passed him by and he shoots exclusively with black-and-white film. As Butcher sees it, “Color is a duplication of nature and black and white is an interpretation.”
This short video by the St. Petersburg Times follows Butcher while photographing in the Everglades for his current project about the national park, from the headwaters to the mangroves.
